Business broadband for UK offices.Cloud apps, video calls, hybrid working — uninterrupted.
Modern offices live in the cloud. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Teams or Zoom, CRMs, accounting platforms, file sharing, video conferencing. Telexico designs office broadband around cloud-first workflows — sized properly, failover-protected, supported by UK engineers who actually answer.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for business broadband for offices in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
"Video calls freeze and drop."
Mid-meeting freeze. Awkward silence. Reconnect. Everyone restates the last point. Productivity destroyed in 30 seconds because connection is undersized for video volume.
"Cloud apps are slow."
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, HubSpot — all dependent on responsive broadband. Slow connection means slow apps, frustrated staff, dropped productivity.
"VoIP calls cut out."
Modern offices use VoIP — and VoIP needs both bandwidth and low latency. Cheap broadband with high jitter makes calls choppy. Customer hears it. Brand suffers.
"Hybrid workers struggle with VPN."
Half the team in the office, half at home. Office VPN, file servers, security cameras, remote desktop — all squeezing the same office connection. Performance falls apart.
How we design office broadband.
Site review: number of users, video conferencing volume, cloud app usage, VoIP requirements, hybrid working patterns, file server and VPN traffic. We size the connection (typically 150-500Mbps FTTP for SMB offices, higher for larger), add 4G/5G failover for resilience, prioritise VoIP traffic via QoS so calls stay clean, and design WiFi that covers the full office including meeting rooms.
The Telexico approach to business broadband for offices.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Video calling protected
Sized for concurrent video calls plus everything else. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex — all stay smooth even with the whole office in calls.
Cloud apps responsive
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, HubSpot, Xero, Sage — all responsive. Office software stops being the bottleneck.
VoIP-grade QoS
Voice traffic prioritised over data — every call stays clean even when someone's uploading a large file. Low latency, low jitter, clear sound.
Hybrid-working sized
Bandwidth accounts for hybrid workers VPN'ing in, file sync, remote desktop. Office connection supports the team even when half are remote.
4G/5G failover
Fibre cut on a Tuesday morning doesn't close the office. Failover catches it in 30 seconds. Cloud apps, VoIP, video — all continue.
Full-office WiFi
Designed mesh covers every desk, every meeting room, every breakout. Roaming between APs without drops. Modern enterprise standards.
Built around how modern offices actually work.
Five years ago office broadband meant email and a website. Today it means concurrent video meetings, real-time cloud collaboration, VoIP for every desk, hybrid workers VPN'ing in. The bandwidth requirements have transformed. We design for current and near-future requirements, not 2018 templates.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
10-person office
300Mbps FTTP + 4G failover + dual-band WiFi covering open plan and meeting rooms. Comfortable headroom for video calls and cloud apps. Affordable monthly.
50-person office
500Mbps FTTP or 200Mbps leased line + mesh WiFi covering full floor + failover. QoS prioritising VoIP. Conference room AV connectivity considered.
Multi-floor or multi-site office
Leased line at HQ + premium FTTP at branch offices + SD-WAN linking sites + group-wide central VPN and security. Adding new sites is template-based.
Engineered for UK offices.
We work with offices of every size — from 4-person professional services firms to multi-site offices of 200+. Installed by our UK engineering team. Supported by the same engineers. We understand modern office workflows because we configure them every week.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How fast does my office need?
Rule of thumb: ~10Mbps per simultaneous video call, plus 1Mbps per VoIP call, plus 5-10Mbps headroom per user for cloud apps. A 10-person office typically settles around 200-300Mbps. We size from your actual usage patterns.
Why is VoIP-grade QoS important?
Voice over IP is sensitive to latency and jitter, not just bandwidth. Without QoS, when someone uploads a big file the voice traffic suffers — calls turn choppy or echoey. With QoS, voice gets priority, calls stay clean even during heavy data use.
Do I need failover for an office?
Depends on whether an outage costs you. If your staff can't work without internet, can't take calls, can't reach customers — yes, failover pays for itself within one outage. For most modern offices, the answer is yes.
What about WiFi for the office?
We design WiFi as part of the broadband install — coverage, roaming, security. Modern offices need consistent signal at every desk and meeting room. We use enterprise-grade APs, surveyed and tested, not consumer mesh kit.
Can you support hybrid working?
Yes — office connection sized for hybrid VPN traffic, plus we can provide home-worker connections for senior staff (dedicated business-grade home line connected to the office VPN). Multi-site SD-WAN treats a home office as just another small site.
How does this compare to a leased line?
Premium FTTP delivers most of what offices need at a fraction of the cost of a leased line. Leased lines make sense for larger offices, mission-critical operations, or specific upload-heavy workflows. Most SMB offices don't actually need one.
Can you install around our operating hours?
Yes — most office installs we schedule after-hours or weekends. We won't take a working day from your team.
Apply this to your business?
Reading the guide is one thing; applying it to your specific operation is another. Send us your current setup — we'll review what you have, what fits, and where to start. No hard sell, no fixed-package pressure.
